Brute Force Detection in Thinfinity® Workspace
The Protection tab in Thinfinity® Workspace Configuration Manager offers essential tools for managing security settings and defending against brute force attacks. It blocks login attempts on the Workspace login page after a set number of failures (default is 3). This feature is disabled by default.
To activate this feature, select the Enable brute force detection option.
Configuring the Protection tab
- Allow Forwarding Headers: Allows reporting proxies through which the request passed using the conventional headers X-Forwarded-For, X-Real-IP, and Forwarded.
- IP Management: Add specific IP addresses to the white or black lists to control access.
- Login Attempt Limits: Set the maximum number of allowed failed login attempts.
- Unblock Timer: Define the duration for which a blocked login remains restricted before being unlocked.
These settings help strengthen security and protect against unauthorized access.
