Creating an SSH Connection from a Browser

For your SSH connection to work, the remote host must have an SSH server installed and running.

Accessing and Logging In to Thinfinity Workspace Portal

  • First, open an HTML5 capable browser, navigate to the Workspace Portal and click Sign In.

  • Next, enter your Username and Password, and then click Sign In.

Creating the Profile

  • Click on +New Profile.

  • Select Terminal and click Next.

  • Here, you must choose the type of terminal connection. Select Telnet SSH and click Next.

  • In the Address field, type the IP or Domain Name of the remote host you want to access. Then enable the SSH protocol. Optionally, you can change the port. When finished, click Next.

  • Here you can optionally change the Terminal Type and display settings. When finished click Next.

  • Now, you need to choose how you want to handle authentication. Depending on the host configuration, you may need to use a Username and Password or a Private Key File. Make your selection and click Next.

  • Type a Name for the profile and then click Done.

  • Finally, click Commit to save the changes to the profile.

You can create more profiles and commit all the changes at once when done.

Making Additional Configurations to the Profile (Optional)

  • If you want to make changes to the profile configuration, click the more button on top of the connection icon, and then click Edit.

  • Here you can perform advanced configurations. If you make any change, click on Save and Commit the change.

Testing the SSH Connection

  • Once the profile is configured, click the Connection Icon to establish a connection to the remote host.

  • You are now ready to access the remote host using SSH.
