Installing Thinfinity® Workspace Desktop Client for Windows
Introduction
In this document we will review the installation of the Desktop Client in a Windows environment.
The Thinfinity Workspace Desktop Client relies on a pre-existing Thinfinity Workspace installation and environment. It utilizes the Thinfinity gateway to natively open RDC connections through the Remote Desktop Connection application and SSH connections via Putty.
Download and install the software
- Choose your desired save location when prompted. The default folder is Downloads, but you can change it by browsing to a different one.
- Execute the installation package from the selected location and follow the installation wizard instructions. Make sure to execute it with Administrator privileges.
Accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.
Choose the installation folder. We recommend using the default folder, which stores the software in the Program Files directory.
Click Install to start the installation process.
Click Finish to conclude the installation.
Configure the path to the workspace URL. In this case it's configured locally as shown in the image below.
Log in with your credentials when the parameters are all set.
Once signed in, you'll see all your Access Profiles ready for use in the Desktop Client.
