Setting Up a Hyper-V RDC Profile on Thinfinity® Workspace
Follow the next steps and learn how to configure a Hyper-V profile:
- Open the Configuration Manager and Navigate to the Access Profiles tab.
- Click Add and create a new RDC profile. The following dialog will appear:
- On the Computer field, enter the Hyper-V Server name or IP address.
- Check the option Connect to a Hyper-V Virtual Machine.
- Enter the required credentials to authenticate with the Hyper-V Virtual Machine.
- If you have a Virtual Machine ID (GUID), enter it in the Virtual machine field and skip the next step.
- If you don't have a Virtual Machine ID (GUID), click on Browse to open a search dialog:
- Click Connect to display the list of virtual machines available on the specified Hyper-V Server.
- If authentication is required, check Use these credentials, enter your login details, and click Connect.
- Select the desired collection, then either double-click it or click OK.
- The virtual machine GUID will be automatically set in the corresponding field.
If you are unable to access your Hyper-V Virtual Machine using a direct IP address or computer name, or if you need to secure its location, you can use the Hyper-V GUID to locate the virtual machine within a Hyper-V Server.
