Setting Up an RDS Collection Profile on Thinfinity® Workspace

To connect to an RDS Collection Virtual Machine set the option Connect to a Virtual Desktop on an RDS Collection.
Follow the next steps and learn how to configure RDS Collection Virtual Machine profile:

  1. Open the Configuration Manager and Navigate to the Access Profiles tab.
  2. Click Add and create a new RDC profile. The following dialog will appear:


  3. In the Profile Editor, enter the RDS Server name or IP address.
  4. Check the option Connect to a Virtual Desktop on an RDS Collection.
  5. Fill in the Credentials fields to authenticate with the virtual machine.
  6. If you have the Terminal Service VM Host Agent URL (formatted as tsv://VMResource.1.RD_Collection_Sa), enter it in the TSV URL field and skip the next step.
  7. If you don’t have the TSV URL, click Browse to open the search dialog:


  8. Select whether you want to search for a Personal Desktop Collection, Pooled Virtual Desktop Collection, or Session Collection.
  9. If authentication is required, enter the RDS Server credentials and click Connect.
  10. The available RDS Collections on the server will be displayed in the list below. Select the one you want to create a profile for.
  11. Once the collection is selected, either double-click it or click OK. The TSV URL will be automatically set in the corresponding field.
  12. When the configuration is complete, click OK, then Apply to save the changes.
