Thinfinity® Workspace: Utilizing it as an Identity Provider
Thinfinity Workspace offers the capability of serving as an Identity Provider, enabling centralized access and permissions management for single users or groups. In this tutorial, we will guide you through configuring this functionality.
Open Thinfinity Configuration Manager and go to the Authentication tab.
If your deployment involves a Gateway and Broker (or additional brokers/agents) on separate servers, ensure you’re using the server where the Primary Broker is configured.
- Click Add and select Local Thinfinity IDP in the Directory Services tab to start the configuration.
- Configure the administrator username (you could leave it by default) and create a password. Then click Add to create and configure the Company information that will be used to authenticate using the Thinfinity Identity Provider.
- Once the Company information is configured, save the changes and click OK. Now Thinfinity Workspace is configured to be used as an Identity Provider.
- When using the credentials to log in to Thinfinity Workspace, the password is the same as the Administrator credentials of the Directory services tab.
Checking if the user exists
Once you log into Thinfinity Workspace, go to the Members tab in the Addons section. A list of all users will be displayed.
