The purpose of this article is to guide new users on how to create an RDP connection in Thinfinity Workspace. This is an essential step for establishing secure and efficient remote access to desktops and servers.
Creating an RDP connection from a browser
Accessing and Logging In to Thinfinity Workspace Portal
- First, open an HTML5 capable browser, navigate to the Workspace Portal and click Sign In.
- Next, enter your Username and Password, and then click Sign In.
Creating the Profile
- Select Desktop and click Next.
- Here, you must choose the type of desktop connection. Select RDP and click Next.
- In this step you should select the computer you want to connect to. This PC refers to the computer where Workspace is installed and Another PC refers to a different computer. When selecting Another PC, you should also specify the IP address. Select the appropriate option and when you're done, click Next.
- At this point, select from the drop-down list how you want to handle the credentials to access this resource. Then click Next.
- Type a Name for the profile and then click Done.
- Finally, click Commit to save the changes to the profile.
You can create more profiles and commit all the changes at once when done.
Making additional configurations to the profile (optional)
- If you want to make changes to the profile configuration, click on the more button on top of the connection icon, and then click Edit.
- Here you can perform advanced configurations. If you make any change, click on Save and Commit the change.
Testing the RDP connection
- Once the profile is configured, click the Connection Icon to establish a connection to the remote host.
- You are now ready to access the remote host using RDP.
